Truth. Integrity. Brotherhood. These are the core values that comprise Wheaton’s only all-male choral ensemble, the Men's Glee Club.
Known for its tradition, The Men’s Glee Club (MGC), now directed by John Swedberg, continues to involve men in life-changing experiences. Founded in 1907, the group is comprised of around 60 men who hail from many different areas of study and many different parts of the world. Over the past 100+ years, this brotherhood has developed a rich cultural heritage including a custom of members referring to each other as "Old Man". Old and new members can stay in touch through the Old Man Association (OMA).
Time Commitment
The Men’s Glee Club rehearses a total of 3 hours per week, from 4:30 to 6 pm on Tuesday and 4:15 to 6 pm on Thursday.
Audition for Glee Club
The Men's Glee Club is open to all undergraduate men at Wheaton, and there is no music major or minor requirement to participate.
Auditions will take place during the first week of classes. Come prepared with a song that shows off your voice and a prepared solo, hymn, or favorite song.
