Hear from Parents who attended past Harvest events:
“Meeting the faculty was incredible! Their testimonies were vulnerable, and the information about the program was very thorough.”
Susan Cochlan
“I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the visit. The education professors are genuine, faith-filled, easy-to-approach people. I can easily see my daughter feeling at home here. The faculty did a great job sharing testimonies, explaining their role, and describing the program. The food was excellent, too!”
Diana Roozeboom
“Harvest was a valuable experience as we were exposed to the area of my daughter’s major in greater detail. An normal campus visit would not have allowed for this level of exposure to the education faculty and the ability to ask pertinent questions.”

“Harvest gave us fantastic insight into the experience our daughter will have at Wheaton College. Every session was worthwhile and tailored specifically to her experience. We were able to receive a glimpse into the kind of personal attention, care, and investment provided by faculty in the Department of Education. The event was very well done, and it was beneficial to our family!”

“Wheaton’s 2022 Harvest event for prospective Education majors set a new standard for college visits. My son, Garrett, and I found the 24-hour event to be immensely informative, inspiring, and a whole lot of fun. Thoughtfully composed and well executed, Harvest provided prospective students and their parents with all of the elements of a traditional college visit —offering an engaging campus tour, lunch in the dining hall, a presentation by the Admissions Department, and an overnight stay in the dorms—but its tailored approach to prospective education majors made it a uniquely beneficial experience.
I felt that the panel with alumni was especially beneficial; it was a very powerful tool to convey the value of the program at Wheaton. Having the opportunity to dive into an engaging class discussion, share meals with the tight-knit education faculty, receive an overview of the four year (or five, if pursuing a masters) path to degree & licensure, and hear personal testimonies of faith from those who are passionate about raising up strong educators, and more importantly followers of Christ, was invaluable. My son walked away from Harvest energized, inspired, and excited about his future. As his parent, I left feeling well-informed, with deep confidence in Wheaton’s mission, programming, and dedicated faculty.”

"The Harvest experience was richer than a general campus visit because we were able to meet the faculty in the Department of Education. As different professors shared their testimonies and/or their callings to education, I sensed their passion for the Lord and for the work they do. They're not only there to teach your child, but they're there to nurture your child.
During Harvest, we also met students who are education majors, and they shared their Wheaton experiences with us. They were mature and confident. My daughter stayed overnight with two freshmen, and they introduced her to their friends! The student were also able to attend specific education classes to get a sense of what it would be like to study with some of the education professors.
I'd encourage all parents who have a child interested in majoring in education to attend The Wheaton College Dept. of Education’s Harvest event!"
