The Marion E. Wade Center Open House and Story Time
Join us for Story Time at the Wade featuring J.R.R. Tolkien’s Letters from Father Christmas, written by Tolkien for his children. Story Time will begin at 11 a.m.

They told wonderful tales of life at the North Pole: how all the reindeer got loose and scattered presents everywhere; how the accident prone Polar Bear climbed the north Pole and fell through the roof of Father Christmas’s house; how he broke the Moon into four pieces and made the Man in it fall into the back garden; how there were wars with the troublesome horde of goblins who lived in the eaves beneath the house.

Story Time at the Wade will take place in the Wade Center Bakke Auditorium. Pre-K through middle school students must be accompanied by an adult.

Before or after story time, enjoy the museum (tours and scavenger hunts available), bookshop, gardens, and reading room.

This event is free and open to the public and will take place at the Marion E. Wade Center located at 351 East Lincoln Avenue in Wheaton. Parking is located on the east side of Washington Street.
