Wheaton College’s 7th annual giving day, WheatonGives, held on April 9, 2025, set new records and exceeded all expectations—making it the most successful giving day in the College’s history. WheatonGives 2025 marked a historic milestone in philanthropic support for the College, highlighted by:

  • $1 million raised — the highest single-day fundraising total in WheatonGives history
  • 1,668 individual donors — a record-breaking number of supporters
  • Gifts from all 50 states, six countries, and U.S. territories—including Puerto Rico — reflecting the truly global reach of Wheaton’s mission
  • Extraordinary participation from students, faculty, and staff — demonstrating the community’s deep, shared commitment to Wheaton’s Christ-centered mission

The funds raised during WheatonGives 2025 will directly support critical areas such as the Wheaton Fund, Athletics, the Center for Vocation & Career Endowed Internship Fund, and Endowed Scholarships, thereby enhancing the excellence and affordability of the Wheaton experience for all students.

Donors also had the chance to nominate students, excluding seniors, for a $5,000 scholarship and seniors for extra commencement tickets. Two scholarship recipients and two ticket winners will be selected and notified in the coming week to accept their awards.

Dr. Kirk Farney, Vice President of Advancement, Vocation, and Alumni Engagement, expressed gratitude for the community's support, stating, “The response to WheatonGives this year was truly inspiring. It is so encouraging to see alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends unite in generous support of Wheaton students. This broad participation powerfully affirms Wheaton’s enduring Christian liberal arts mission ‘for Christ and His Kingdom.’”

An energetic on-campus celebration amplified the day’s momentum, featuring giveaways from Nothing Bundt Cakes, Boba King, and Chick-fil-A, along with visits from therapy dogs and Wheaton’s beloved mascot, Tor. The festive atmosphere fostered a strong sense of community and philanthropy among students—who emerged as the day’s most enthusiastic donors.

Reflecting on the impact of WheatonGives, Mason Louth, Class of 2026, shared, “WheatonGives is a fun, meaningful day that brings the student community together to celebrate Wheaton, reconnect, and give back. It’s all about strengthening our ties—past, present, and future—and supporting the College in ways that keep the Wheaton spirit thriving for generations to come.”
