Bri Corpuz is entering her second year as a GRA while pursuing a Master’s in Higher Education and Student Development. She graduated with her BA in Educational Studies from Northwest University and is excited for the new experiences ahead. She discovered her love and passion for leadership and students in higher education while being in student leadership as an RA and an event coordinator at NU. Bri was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She loves meeting new people and hearing their stories. In her free time she loves having game nights, watching movies, playing sports, or just having a good time with the people she loves.

Abby Riffell is excited to serve as a first-year GRA in the 900 College Avenue apartments. Abby expands her role on the residence life team, having previously served as a resident assistant. Abby has a variety of outdoor interests, including sports and art activities.

Joy Chilala Matthews is excited to be at Wheaton and is looking forward to serving students and being part of a team of like-minded people. She was born in Zambia and moved to Michigan in 2019 to study social work at Cornerstone University. Joy loves building community by being hospitable to others who both share and don't share similar beliefs. Her desire to be in student development became evident in undergrad as she served as a Resident Assistant for two years and as a diversity intern. Joy desires to see students open up their dorms and apartments to other students who do not feel welcomed as it is part of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. In her free time, Joy loves going on walks, playing card games, trying out new food and going to new places.

Sarah Chang is excited to return to Wheaton College for her master's in Higher Education and Student Development, while serving as a first-year GRA in the Terrace Apartments. After graduating from Wheaton, she spent two years in South Korea equipping student missionaries. While earning her M.Div from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Sarah served at a Korean immigrant church. She has a huge heart for the next generation. She enjoys sharing a meal together, exploring nature and new cafes, and spending quality time with friends.

Victoria Gullins is thrilled to start her first year as a GRA in the 1047 and 1051 Terrace Apartments and as a student in the Higher Education and Student Development Master’s program at Wheaton College. She is originally from Richmond, Virginia and moved to Illinois with her family in 2022 to pastor a church on the Southside of Chicago. She serves as the ministry head over worship. Attending Norfolk State University, she received her BA in Music Education but has spent the last two years as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. Victoria is passionate about creating spaces where young adults feel safe to have the tough conversations and be uplifted by the power of fellowship and community in an environment that promotes healthy relationships (deeper than just religion) with Jesus Christ. She enjoys singing, writing and arranging music and poetry, acting in plays, taking walks through parks, playing card games, reading a good novel, and wants to try daring activities like skydiving!

Desteni Benson is entering her second year as a GRA pursuing her masters in Higher Education and Student Development. She was born and raised in Fresno, CA. Living in a generation where the Gospel of Jesus Christ has become foreign to the hearts of our most vulnerable, youth and emerging adults, she believes this is the new mission field. Desteni spends her time loving and learning in the Wheaton community and getting rooted in the local church. In the margins of life, she enjoys running and cycling, reading, writing, singing and good conversations with family and friends.
