Our Fundraising Philosophy
Theologian and author Henri Nouwen describes fundraising as proclaiming what we believe in such a way that we offer other people an opportunity to participate with us in our vision and mission. Fundraising is a way of announcing our vision and inviting other people into our mission.
Ministry and Evangelism endeavors to train students in best practices in fundraising as we support our various programs through individual and corporate fundraising initiatives. Through local service opportunities and global ministry experiences, supporters have the opportunity to put their resources at the disposal of the Kingdom that facilitates experience and fosters growth in the next generation of Kingdom leaders. This sharing of resources is rooted in prayer and mutual fellowship between those who are giving and those who are receiving.
All contributions to our programming are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt by mail. Any gift or check with the a name of student is not consider tax deductible. Please enclose a separate note to indicate if you are supporting a specific student, as they will want to send you a thank you response in return.
The Importance of Prayer
Prayer is the radical starting point of fundraising. It is important to emphasize the significance of raising not only monetary funds, but also raising prayer support. Money can only go so far, because God is the one who accomplishes the work in the heart of others.
Your contributions will go towards supporting the ministry experiences of Ministry and Evangelism and will not go directly towards one particular student’s experience. Donations made that go beyond the budgeted year roll over to the ministry experiences taking place next year.
