Voyageur at HoneyRock
Voyageur is HoneyRock in its most adventurous and epic form!
Voyageur is our most immersive wilderness camper program. The program begins with a couple of days on HoneyRock property. This is a time of fun and intentional group formation, as well as preparation for the extensive wilderness experiences that are at the heart of the program.
After the brief time at HoneyRock, groups depart to some of the most sought-after wilderness areas in the midwest United States. Trips range from 8-14 days in length.
A typical day on trip begins with a morning devotion and quiet time followed by breakfast. Then, your team will pack up camp and get going for the day! After canoeing or backpacking to the next campsite (you might see some wildlife along the way!) you’ll set up camp, relax, cook good food, and partake in community worship and discussion. You’ll see the night sky as you’ve never seen it before – maybe even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights! The context of the wilderness in an unmatched venue for connections with the Lord amidst the awe and wonder of His creation and bonding with others through shared joys and challenges.
The final few days will be spent back at HoneyRock for reflection and closure. You’ll experience life at HoneyRock and engage with other high school campers as you wrap up your time in Voyageur.

Our goal is to provide gender specific wilderness trips (men and women have their own trips separate from one another). If there are not enough campers registered to run gender specific trips, we will merge trips and send out one trip. In this event, all trips will have both male and female counselors, there will be no co-ed tents, and both genders will have opportunities for gender specific discussions and activity times.
We take the tastiness of trip meals very seriously, especially the snacks.
"The Voyageur Boundary Waters trip was an amazing experience for me and I loved every second of it. I could see God through the lakes, sky, and trees and also through the people that I was with. I was able to see God through the guys I was talking to and quieted my anxious heart to be able to hear God and his plans for my life."
