International Graduate Students

All International Graduate Students are required to attend the International Graduate Orientation in mid-August. This event is set aside to provide a time of intentional preparation unique to the needs of an international student. We look forward to seeing you there! International Student Orientation 2026

August 19 - 9 am - 3 pm in the Wilson Suite - lunch and breakfast provided.

August 20 - 9 am - 3 pm - Day Trip to Chicago!

August 21 - 9 am - 3 pm in the Wilson Suite - International Family Dinner at 5:30 p.m.

We kick off every Fall semester with our annual All International Graduate Student Dinner. This is a time for all international graduate students and their families/roommates (and also those on OPT) to gather for dinner and fellowship. It's also a wonderful opportunity to get to know our incoming international graduate students!

Every fall and spring semester, we gather as an international graduate student community to share a meal, relax and have fun together. We hope you can join us at one of our dinners!

Every fall the Graduate Student Life Office offers a free Employment Session which will outline the options that F-1 students have to work in the United States.  We invite local immigration attorneys to offer expert advise on understanding your employment options while studying at Wheaton.

The Grad Life Office offers resources and support during the Income Tax filing season in the spring.  We will hold a Tax Workshop and we will offer a discount on international student tax filing software.
