Lina Dunbar

Psy.D. Student

Lina is a 1st-year student in the Clinical Psychology Program at Wheaton College. With a background in psychology and criminal justice, she is interested in understanding how societal factors influence crime in marginalized populations and what socially informed and integrative therapeutic interventions can be implemented to help mitigate these outcomes. She hopes to work alongside adolescents at risk of entering into the criminal justice system in order to provide preventative interventions. She also aspires to work with previously incarcerated adults who are reintegrating into society with the goal of diminishing recidivism rates. Whether it be empathetic listening or providing actionable steps, Lina is motivated to serve marginalized communities through clinical therapeutic intervention.
