Emily Benson

Ph.D. Student

Emily is a 2nd-year doctoral student in clinical psychology with a background in psychology & sociology and 10+ years experience working with young adults in a college counseling center.  She is currently interested in supporting women during the perinatal and postpartum phase of life through research and clinical therapy, as well as, decreasing the disparity of health care in marginalized populations.  She hopes to utilize her recent experience providing neuropsychological assessments and feedback to support women working through late diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD and autism in parenting and wellbeing, as well as continuing to build on her previous psychotherapy experiences by gaining clinical experience in community and hospital settings. Emily is passionate about all women having access to quality mental health care, and she enjoys providing the opportunity to process issues of faith at her clients' request.
