Dave Mendrygal

Ph.D. Student

I am a 1st-year Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology whose work sits at the intersection of attachment, meaning, and spiritual development. I am especially interested in how religious belief, relational patterns, and coping processes shape psychological well-being across time. My goal is to contribute research that integrates developmental science with spiritually informed clinical practice, particularly for youth, families, and individuals navigating spiritual struggle, stress, or transitions in faith. Clinically, I hope to work in settings that value a whole-person approach to care—incorporating evidence-based therapy, culturally sensitive practice, and a thoughtful integration of theology and psychology. Ultimately, I hope to serve the Church and the broader community through research, clinical care, and training that honor both scientific rigor and Christian faith.
