Important Admissions Information
Information for all students
- Only the following three programs require the GRE.
- Ph.D. in Biblical and Theological Studies
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
- Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology
- The Wheaton College institutional code for the GRE is 1905.
- You will receive your unofficial Verbal and Quantitative scores right after you finish the exam and can self-report them to nancy.crane@wheaton.edu. The unofficial scores will qualify as making the application deadline. But your official GRE scores, which include your Analytical Writing score, are required before you can register for classes at Wheaton. We download official scores weekly directly from ETS, the GRE provider.
Additional Information for International Students
- International Students applying to the Ph.D. in Biblical and Theological Studies, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology must complete both the GRE and the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test.
- International Students applying to M.A. programs do not have to submit the GRE but must submit a score from the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test.
- Please see English Proficiency for full details.
Are you interested in registering for a few classes before enrolling as a full-time student? Get a glimpse inside our graduate-school classes and community by registering as a non-degree-seeking student. Your courses can count toward your master's degree at Wheaton if you choose to apply at a later time.
Application Steps
- Go to the MyWheaton Application page and create your student account.
- When you get to the Academic Information section of the application, choose "Non-Degree Seeking Student."
