Good-bye, Desk Phones!
You’ve probably wondering when exactly we’re planning to remove your desk phone and replace it with Microsoft Teams Voice (a soft phone). Our plan is to do this near the end of September.
Your supervisor should have asked you at some point if you were willing to try a soft phone, and if you need a headset to be provided for you from AIT. If they did not, feel free to check in with them to see if they need your information.
We will be providing new Teams desk phones for the handful of people that require a desk phone to do their jobs. Most people, however, will be transitioning to using Microsoft Teams, to do both their voice calls (via soft phone) and their video calls, as many have been doing.
