VPN Software Update
Effective Date: June 24, 2020
GlobalProtect establishes a secure connection to Wheaton College resources from off-campus. If you are working from home now, remember to log into VPN at the beginning of each workday.
The College's virtual private network (VPN) software, GlobalProtect, will be updated on June 24, 2020. This update fixes a bug in version 5.1.3 that caused many Wheaton users to get disconnected from the VPN service every two hours.
If you already use GlobalProtect to establish a VPN connection, you will be prompted to update this software the next time you connect.

Impact on College Community
If you use GlobalProtect to establish a VPN connection to the campus network, you will be prompted to update this software the next time you connect after June 24, 2020. The update will install automatically after you select "Yes." After this update, you will be able to connect using VPN as before.
