Windows 10: Are you Ready?
We are in the midst of transitioning College-owned Windows computers to Windows 10 to ensure application compatibility and system security.
Over the summer, all classrooms with Windows computers were updated to Windows 10, and all new computers come with Windows 10 installed.
Key Benefits and Features
Windows 10 gives you:
- Improved security protection
- Improved search capabilities, including Cortana voice search
- Additional notification mechanisms to let you know about upcoming events and activities
- And more!
Impact on College Community
Windows 10 has been tested for compatibility with enterprise software. Before your upgrade, we will review your applications with you to minimize any issues. You can request to transition to Windows 10 now by filling out this form. Otherwise, we will contact you over the next several months to schedule your upgrade.
You can find helpful resources to introduce you to the exciting new features and interface of Windows 10 here. We recommend viewing “Windows 10 Essential Training” to orient yourself with the new features, such as using Cortana to search and view the web.
