Updates to Windows 7 Computers
Effective Date: November 2, 2016
On November 2, routine updates to College-owned Windows 7 computers will require you to press CTRL+ALT+DEL in order to log on to your computer.
Rationale
We send routine Microsoft updates to College-owned Windows computers in order to keep software secure and up to date. Usually, this does not require any action from you.
Impact on College Community
Starting at 12 AM on Wednesday, November 2, we will send software updates to College-owned Windows 7 computers. After a computer completes these updates, it will display a page that reads: "Stage 2 of 2; Preparing to configure Windows; Do not turn off your computer."
If you see this message on your computer, press your CTRL, ALT, and DEL keys simultaneously. This will allow you to log on normally.
