Transfer Credit
Students can choose to complete courses at other accredited institutions and then transfer their course credits to Wheaton College.
- In order for Wheaton College to accept courses from other institutions, students must complete a transfer credit approval form before enrolling any course(s).
- Courses with a grade of "C-" and above are transferable.
- Courses must be letter graded. Pass/fail courses are not accepted.
- Community College courses will receive lower division credit only.
- Transfer courses will carry only the primary thematic core attribute/tag, as determined by the Office of Academic Advising.
- See transfer credit approval form for additional restrictions and guidance.
- Students are required and responsible for requesting official transcripts from the other institution at the end of the course(s). All transcripts must come directly to Wheaton from the host institution.
- Approved course credit will transfer to Wheaton College; however, grades, in nearly all cases, will not transfer or be included in student GPA calculations.
- Memorandums of Understanding with other institutions govern GPA inclusion/exclusion policies.
Other policies and procedures regarding transfer credit can be found on the How-to Transfer Credit Academic Advising page.
