"Since graduating from Wheaton, I have completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. I am now working as a Family Medicine Resident at Grant Hospital in Columbus, OH. At Grant, I practice full spectrum family medicine in an underserved part of the city. My work includes caring for patients on labor and delivery, in the critical care unit, and in my outpatient office. I get to take care of people of all ages – pediatrics to geriatrics! My education in the Biology and Urban Studies Departments prepared both my mind and my heart for medical school and residency. Through Biology, I learned how to study and pursue the questions that remain unanswered. Urban Studies taught me to look beyond myself and my own situation to see the lives and situations of people I may not cross paths with otherwise. As a physician, both of these play a crucial role in my practice and in my relationships with patients. I'm very thankful for my pre-health training at Wheaton!"
