Steven Sjobring is the co-founder and director of the String Academy of Chicago. He currently teaches String Techniques and String Pedagogy at Wheaton College. He graduated from Wheaton College in 2001 after studying violin/viola performance and pedagogy. Steven was the first prize winner of the Wheaton College Conservatory Concerto Competition and soloist with the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra in 2001. Steven was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2005 to 2007. He is also the founder and a member of the Chicago Classic String Ensemble, which regularly performs throughout the Chicago area. Steven resides in Wheaton with his wife, Kelly, and two daughters, Audrey and Naomi.
