Katy FoltzLab Associate/Office Coordinator

Katy Foltz is the Lab Associate and Office Coordinator for the Geology and Environmental Science Department. A Wheaton College alum (2013), Katy received a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Bachelor of Arts in History. Following graduation, she attended graduate school at Oklahoma State University and completed her Master's in Geology. Her thesis was focused on the core analysis of the Woodford Shale formation in central-northern Oklahoma, with implications for unconventional petroleum drilling. Katy went on to work as a petroleum geologist for 5 years before returning to Wheaton in the fall of 2020. In addition to her work in the department, Katy also supports the Wheaton in the Black Hills Program as Program Assistant.
Katy's interests include hiking, soccer, and snuggling on the couch to read a good book.
