Caroline Jones, B.M., M.M.Guest Lecturer in Music

Caroline Jones is an active orchestral musician, chamber musician and educator. She is currently a substitute with the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra and the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, of which she was a tenured member for 12 seasons. She also plays with Camerata Chicago, has performed with the Chicago Philharmonic and Joffrey Ballet, and for the opening of the 2021 Opera Festival of Chicago.
Jones's professional career began in the first violin section of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and as an adjunct faculty member at both Carroll University and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. She was also a member of the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and a frequent substitute with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for 6 seasons, accompanying them on both domestic and international tours.
Jones has enjoyed summer posts with the Sun Valley Symphony and Grand Teton Music Festival. She was a fellowship student in festivals at Tanglewood and Aspen, as well as the Pacific Music Festival, National Repertory Orchestra, and New World Symphony. Her major teachers include Kathleen Winkler, Paul Kantor and Andrew Jennings, and members of the Cleveland and Concord String Quartets.
Jones resides in Wheaton with her husband, Josh, and their three children.
