Jeff is Wheaton College’s Engineering Program Director. He works with engineering students to strengthen their programs of study at Wheaton and helps 3-2 students to facilitate their transfers to ABET accredited engineering programs for their final two undergraduate years. He is a resource for finding internships and answering questions about navigating the engineering program.
Jeff has worked as a civil engineer, an educator and a program director. He is particularly passionate about rural water supply in countries with underdeveloped water infrastructure.
Jeff has lived in Southeast Asia and Southern Africa for almost 20 years. There he worked through non-government organizations, bilateral partnerships, churches and universities to improve and strengthen sustainable water supply and sanitation in rural communities. Jeff also directed recovery programs in post-tsunami Aceh, Indonesia and post-independence Timor-Leste. Jeff continues to work as an international development and water supply consultant.
In the U.S., Jeff taught secondary school math, worked as a consulting engineer to develop hydraulic bridge designs, and functioned as a FEMA consultant following natural disasters. Jeff now lives with his wife and son in Wheaton where he enjoys hiking through forests, cooking and making tempeh.
