Wheaton College offers five merit-based scholarships specifically for engineering students. Several students have also successfully applied for outside scholarships and grants. We are always willing to help you to prepare your application for these outside sources.
The Thomas H. Milbourne ’79 Engineering Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to an incoming, first year engineering student. It is renewable up to 5 years for a student who is either pursuing Wheaton’s 3-2 or 4-year engineering program. More information on this scholarship >
This merit-based scholarship is awarded to one incoming freshman interested in pursuing engineering. The scholarship is renewable for the second year of the program provided the student maintains good academic standing. The first recipient of this award was determined in Spring 2012. This merit-based scholarship is awarded to one third-year engineering student completing his or her degree through the IIT joint program. The scholarship is renewable for the fourth and fifth years of the program provided the student maintains good academic standing.
The William Lewis Shuster, Jr. Engineering Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to an incoming first-year engineering student. The scholarship is renewable each year that the student remains in the engineering program pending good academic performance. Access the application instructions.

The American Physical Society Committee on Minorities in Physics has created this scholarship program for minority undergraduate physics majors. The purpose of this program is to significantly increase the level of underrepresented minority participation in physics in the United States. Underrepresented minorities in this context are defined as African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans.
Each scholarship consists of $2,000 for new students and $3,000 for renewal students for tuition, room, board or educational materials. More >>
