As a result of completing the Mathematics program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Core Knowledge. Students will demonstrate the ability to solve problems from core areas of mathematics such as calculus, linear algebra, statistics, analysis, and modern algebra.
- Proof Construction. Students will demonstrate the ability to construct cogent mathematical proofs.
- Mathematical Communication. Students will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate mathematics in written and oral forms.
- Creative Problem Solving. Students will demonstrate the ability to use mathematics as a tool to solve problems from other disciplines.
- Christian Connection. Students will demonstrate the ability to identify interactions between mathematics and Christian faith.
- Computation. Students will demonstrate the ability to the ability to apply computational tools to complex mathematical problems.
