The Future of Science
We're building passionate and curious science teachers, who have a desire to share their love of God's Creation with middle and high school students.
The Secondary Science Education student at Wheaton College receives a solid foundation in the liberal arts tradition and an interpretation of the scientific nature of God’s creation. The Wheaton Teacher Education Program (WheTEP) is an experience-oriented program, meaning students are working with kids, in classrooms or the community, from the very beginning of the WheTEP program.
Science teacher candidates are challenged to blend and foster their love of science and desire to teach all students in order to become teacher leaders in their field and schools.
Science teacher candidates earn a double major, earning a degree in the scientific discipline of their choice, as well as a degree in secondary education.
