Larry Funck, Ph.D.Professor of Chemistry Emeritus and Adjunct Professor

Dr. Funck has been on the Wheaton faculty since 1969, becoming an emeritus member in 2011. His primary area of teaching has been in General and Inorganic Chemistry. He served as Department Chair from 1989 through 2002. In 1995-96 he held a Fulbright Fellowship while teaching at the National University of Lesotho in southern Africa. He has been active in College Board’s Advanced Placement Chemistry program since 1976, serving in various roles, including Chief Reader from 2009 through 2013. Currently he is participating with four other Wheaton faculty in producing a textbook on scientific theories of origins through the support of the BioLogos Foundation.
