The Architecture of Prayer
An international survey of the contemporary church and its architecture
The Wheaton College Art Department and the President's Art Commission at Wheaton College present "The Architecture of Prayer," curated by architect Amanda Iglesias '14. The opening reception for this exhibition will take place in Adams Hall on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 4:00 PM. It is free and open to the public.
The exhibition continues in the Armerding Center for Music and the Arts, which will feature the architectural sketches of HGA's Bill Blanski and Threshold Acoustics, who were part of the collaborative team for the project.

A Traveling Showcase

Exhibit Curator
Amanda Iglesias is an architect and curator in New York City. She has professional experience in both institutional and single-family residential projects at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, a firm notable for its role in the city’s placemaking. Her gallery design and curation via the Iglesias Project seeks to enrich architectural imagination and possibility for churches. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Wheaton College, a Master of Architecture from Yale University, and a Master of Philosophy in Architecture and Urban Studies from the University of Cambridge.
