Orvieto, Italy
The Orvieto Semester is an art-focused program of Gordon College situated in Orvieto, Italy.
As members of the Christian College Consortium, Wheaton students are invited to apply. At Orvieto students study the Italian Renaissance as a resource for contemporary thinking about art and culture. Located midway between Rome and Florence, the art and culture of Orvieto are the starting point for explorations to multiple historic sites of great artistic significance. HNGR-Human Needs and Global Resources
HNGR students explore issues of global needs and available resources through a combination of academic study, interactive seminars, and a core study/service internship in the Developing World. This program has been particularly beneficial for students concentrating in Documentary Photography and Community Art and Missions, but all Art students are encouraged to consider if their creative and artistic interests might lead them to involvement in the Third World through the HNGR program.
