Christy Vosburg
Assistant Director of Wheaton in Chicago and
Site Manager of the Woodlawn Track of Urban Passage
Christy Vosburg first joined Wheaton in Chicago as a student in the fall 2009 cohort before returning to work for the program as Assistant Director in 2019. Christy studied elementary education, urban studies, physics and mathematics at Wheaton College, then completed her M.A. Higher Education Administration at University of Louisville in 2017. She currently manages programming, student care, residence life, spiritual formation, recruitment, facilities, community engagement, Urban Passage: Woodlawn Track, and more. Growing up as a white woman in predominantly Black neighborhoods on the west side of Chicago and north St. Louis, Christy enjoys studying and working at the intersection of racial identity development, higher education and student development, Christianity and colonialism, and urban design and sustainability. Christy and her family live on site with Wheaton in Chicago, and when Christy is not leading a field trip or fixing a plumbing issue, she may be found reading at the 63rd Street Beach, singing with her church choir, or pulling weeds in the community garden.
Rachel Becker

Rachel Becker grew up in San Diego, California, and received her B.A. in Islamic and Arabic Studies from San Diego State and her M.A. in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College. Rachel provides support in residence life, student care, spiritual formation, trips, and other programmatic elements. When not taking a student out for coffee or leading morning prayer, she may be found on walking in Washington Park, parsing Hebrew verbs, or making a fabulous cup of tea. She and her family live on site with Wheaton in Chicago.
