Kendra Juskus

Kendra JuskusStarting in 2011, Kendra Langdon Juskus served the Wade Center in various editorial and administrative positions before moving out of state in 2015. Thanks to advances in remote work technology, she returned to the Wade, virtually, in 2020 as the contract editor of VII: Journal of the Marion E. Wade Center. In this role she manages the submissions and publication process of VII, collaborating with authors, peer reviewers, and the VII staff to bring fresh scholarship on the Wade authors to both new and established generations of scholars and casual readers.

Kendra holds a Bachelor of Arts in English - Creative Writing from Wheaton College and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing (Poetry) from Spalding University. In addition to her work at VII, she is a freelance writer and editor, working on anything from public school health care white papers to books on parenting. Her poetry has been published in RHINO, Ruminate, The Christian Century, and other journals, and she was the recipient of the 2019 Bea Gonzalez Prize for Poetry from Stone Canoe.

Kendra lives with her husband, their two sons, and a guinea pig in Princeton, New Jersey, where she enjoys reading, gardening, serving at church, gathering with friends, and hiking the beautiful trails that defy Jersey’s reputation as the armpit of America.
