When Justice Rolls: Celebrating the Ministry of Dr. John Perkins

new-red-line-1200-x-8

MARCH 4, 2026 – News spread quickly this week that Dr. John M. Perkins, renowned Christian minister and civil rights activist, is under hospice care at his home in Jackson, Mississippi. Now 95, Dr. Perkins has long been one of the nation’s most influential evangelical voices on racial healing, social justice, and biblical discipleship. Author of the modern classic Let Justice Roll Down, he has dedicated his life to confronting the brutal racism and economic inequities of the American South and beyond. As the founder of the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation (JVMPF) and co-founder of the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA), his legacy is profound. In honor of his tireless work as a minister of reconciliation, we revisit his 2015 conversation with President Ryken.
