Higher Learning Commission (HLC)Wheaton College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to award bachelor’s, master’s, and selected doctoral degrees: Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical and Theological Studies, Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Psychology. Wheaton also may offer credentials such as certificates at approved degree levels. Wheaton’s accreditation has been continuously reaffirmed since 1916 and is on HLC’s Open Pathway process. HLC reaffirmed the College’s accreditation in July 2024 in this letter and as documented in this final report (PDF format). Wheaton College is not required to receive Board approvals at locations in the institution’s home region (West Suburban region). Additionally, Wheaton College is legally authorized to operate as a post-secondary institution and grant degrees in the West Suburban region in the State of Illinois. |
